TriGen@SGH Internship

As an intern, you'll have the unique opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals within a population health team and a non-profit organization in collaboration with Singapore General Hospital.

During your internship, you'll gain practical experience in various areas, including research, volunteer management, project operations, community program development, and marketing.

Throughout the internship, you'll be assigned to 1-2 committees within TriGen@SGH (details on our committees below), where you'll receive personal mentoring and guidance to help you achieve specific goals.

Internship Opportunities

  • The programme will require interns to assist in the oversight of the various programs servicing the older adults.

    They will need to:

    (i) Maintain a broad overview of the volunteering programme that TriGen offers, making sure that programs are meeting the needs of the seniors

    (ii) Assist in the planning of various events throughout the volunteering programme

    (iii) Assist in coordination and liaising with community partners to ensure seamless delivery of the programmes

    The ideal intern will be someone who has an interest to lead community-based programmes, a heart to serve the community, is meticulous, and has excellent interpersonal skills.

    No prior experience is required.

  • The programme will require interns to assist in the outreach of TriGen's programmes through social media and the internet.

    Interns will need to:

    (i) Content Creation: Manage our social media accounts, curate interesting content, and create captivating content.

    (ii) Partnership Engagement: Actively engage and collaborate with our partners to strengthen our network and support.

    (iii) Public Relations: Collaborate with our team to maintain a positive public image and respond to inquiries from volunteers, donors, and the general public.

    (iv) Online Outreach: Assist in promoting TriGen's programmes through social media and other platforms.

    The ideal candidate for this internship would have an interest in marketing or corporate communications, but no prior experience is necessary.

  • The programme will require interns to assist in the evaluation of TriGen's programmes. They will be involved in:

    (i) crafting of the research question, drafting and implementing research surveys and writing manuscripts

    (ii) qualitative studies; will be involved in conducting in-depth interviews and focused group discussions

    The ideal intern will be someone who has an interest in research or programme evaluation, detailed, and able to think critically.

    No prior experience is required.

  • The programme will require interns to assist in the recruitment, training and engagement of the youth and adult volunteers who take part in TriGen's volunteering programmes.

    They will need to:

    (i) Maintain a broad overview of the volunteering programme that TriGen offers, making sure that the volunteers are trained and on task

    (ii) Assist in the planning of various events, engagement of volunteers and volunteer appreciation throughout the volunteering programme

    The ideal intern will be someone who has an interest in volunteer management, working with youth and developing programmes to empower youths, and curriculum development for adult (lay) and healthcare volunteers.
